The Campfire / The Lich King
November 15, 2008, 03:02:48 AM
Taken from Blizzard site for reference.

Chapter 1
The Curse of Ner'zhul

The elder shaman Ner'zhul was once among the greatest spiritual leaders of the orcs. Deceived by the demon Kil'jaeden, he set in motion the events that led to the orcs' corruption and the creation of the bloodthirsty Horde. Yet ultimately Ner'zhul refused to give his people fully to the demonic ranks of the Burning Legion.
The demon lord Kil'jaeden punished Ner'zhul for his defiance, destroying his aging body and torturing his spirit. The demon then offered Ner'zhul a final ultimatum: serve the Legion unconditionally or suffer eternal agony. With little other choice, Ner'zhul pledged to obey Kil'jaeden and was reborn as a terrifying and vastly powerful agent of the Legion â€" the Lich King.
Ner'zhul's spirit was magically shackled to a suit of ancient armor and bound to the mighty runeblade Frostmourne. To ensure Ner'zhul's obedience, Kil'jaeden sealed the armor and blade within a specially crafted block of ice collected from the far reaches of the Twisting Nether. This frozen crystal was then cast into the ripe and unsuspecting world of Azeroth, settling in the desolate, snowy wastes of Northrend.
Among the abilities bestowed upon the Lich King was lordship over death itself. From within his Frozen Throne, Ner'zhul summoned a number of undead to serve him and tested his army against the nerubians of Azjol-Nerub and their mighty spiderlord, Anub'arak. Although the War of the Spider raged for years, many nerubians who fell in battle quickly became bound to the Lich King's iron will. Anub'arak himself was eventually ambushed and slain, rising again to join Ner'zhul's ranks as a fearsome crypt lord.
The Lich King appeared to be faithfully serving his master, but he had in fact hatched a cunning and subversive plan. To that end, he created a small fissure in his prison, pushed Frostmourne through it, and directed his minions to carry the runeblade away from the Frozen Throne. Ner'zhul intended to use the sword as bait for a mighty champion: a loyal subject who would free him and serve as a vessel for his restless spirit. While Frostmourne was positioned to serve its future purpose, the Lich King dutifully proceeded with his demon master's true agenda...
Since arriving on Azeroth, the Lich King had been formulating an insidious plague of undeath, a terrifying disease meant to annihilate humanity and create an army faithful to the Burning Legion. To expedite the spread of this contagion, the Lich King recruited a powerful ally in the ambitious mage Kel'Thuzad, a senior member of Dalaran's ruling council.
Under the Lich King's watchful gaze, Kel'Thuzad created the Cult of the Damned, a group of humans to whom he promised social equality and eternal life on Azeroth. The cultists spread the plague throughout Lordaeron's northern villages, amassing a host of mindless undead. Kel'Thuzad looked upon the growing army and named it the Scourge, for at the Lich King's whim it would surely scour humanity from the face of the world.
The archmage Antonidas suspected that the undead plague was magical in origin, and so he sent the sorceress Jaina Proudmoore to the northlands to investigate. With her went Prince Arthas Menethil, only son of King Terenas. Jaina and Arthas tracked down and killed the Lich King's servant, Kel'Thuzad, but the necromancer's death failed to halt the rise of the Scourge. As the battle against the undead wore on, the prince's faith and patience began to wane.
Joined by the legendary paladin Uther the Lightbringer, Arthas and Jaina nevertheless arrived at the gates of Stratholme too late to stop the distribution of plague-ridden grain. Arthas realized that the innocent villagers would inevitably join the growing ranks of undead. He ordered Uther to purge the town and slaughter the civilians before they could become minions of the Scourge. When Uther refused, Arthas accused the veteran knight of treason and disbanded the Order of the Silver Hand. Uther and most of his remaining cavalry left the village in disgust, and Jaina, horrified by Arthas' decision, abandoned the prince as well.
Despite the loss of his supporting forces, Arthas carried out his plan, putting the city's innocents to the blade and burning every remaining structure to the ground. Something in Arthas snapped that day, and as he walked away from Stratholme, he left much of his humanity in the flaming ruins.

Chapter 2
The Claiming of Frostmourne

The prince then dedicated himself to stopping the Scourge at all costs. In time he traced the source of the plague to Northrend. With a heavy heart and steadfast determination, the prince set out for the snowy roof of the world. In Northrend Arthas was surprised to find an old friend, the dwarf Muradin Bronzebeard. Muradin had been searching for a blade renowned to have legendary powers: the blade called Frostmourne. Arthas resolved to seek out the enchanted blade and wield it against the Scourge. However, at Uther's urging, King Terenas soon recalled Arthas and his troops. Before the expedition could set sail for home, Arthas secretly hired indigenous mercenaries to burn the ships. Leading his troops to the ships, Arthas feigned surprise and ordered his bitterly disappointed soldiers to hunt down and kill the mercenaries.
Arthas then scoured the desolate wastes for what he believed was the key to his people's salvation. In time Muradin and Arthas discovered Frostmourne and read the foreboding inscription on its pedestal. The inscription warned that Frostmourne's wielder would indeed gain power eternal, but at a cost: "Just as the blade rends flesh, so must power scar the spirit." Despite the warning and Muradin's protests, Arthas swore that he would pay any price to possess the blade.
At the prince's reckless urging, Frostmourne freed itself from the ice in which it was encased, in the process taking Muradin's life. Arthas seized the blade, which destroyed what little remained of his humanity. The prince could not have guessed that the Lich King was the blade's true master, nor could he have known that in addition to Kil'jaeden's enchantments, Frostmourne possessed an ability that had been bestowed by Ner'zhul: the ability to steal the souls of the living.
With Frostmourne in hand and a growing darkness in his heart, Arthas wandered into the frozen wastes to answer the call of his new master...

Chapter 3
Shattering the Frozen Throne

All of Lordaeron rejoiced at Prince Arthas' triumphant return from Northrend, but their elation was not to last. Not long after Arthas knelt before King Terenas, the former paladin thrust Frostmourne into his father's heart. At the Lich King's command, the fallen prince went on to murder his mentor, Uther the Lightbringer, and claim Kel'Thuzad's remains. When Arthas had finished, Capital City, formerly one of humanity's crown jewels, had been reduced to a silent wasteland of death and despair.
The death knight Arthas then marched his ever-growing army of the undead into the forests of Quel'Thalas, slaughtering the elves in his path as he smashed through the gates of Silvermoon. Arthas laid claim to the legendary Sunwell, using its powers to raise Kel'Thuzad as a lich and leaving the high elven lands utterly devastated in his wake.
Kel'Thuzad in turn opened a gateway to usher in Archimonde, a powerful demon lord of the Burning Legion. Upon his arrival Archimonde declared that the Lich King's usefulness had reached an end. While Archimonde pursued the Legion's goals, Arthas traveled to the continent of Kalimdor. There he met and advised Illidan Stormrage, a powerful demon hunter whose interests aligned with those of the Lich King.
The Third War ended with Archimonde's demise, and Legion forces on Azeroth were scattered in the wake of his death. Arthas returned to Lordaeron, where he was assailed by painful visions that he learned were a sign of the Lich King's weakening power. The death knight journeyed back to Northrend and was confronted by an army of elves: survivors of the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas. The elves had joined forces with Illidan Stormrage in order to march on the Frozen Throne. The crypt lord Anub'arak arrived and guided Arthas into a series of ancient tunnels that allowed the pair to reach the Lich King quickly.
Arthas emerged from the subterranean caverns to face one final challenger barring his path: Illidan Stormrage, who had become a demon. Illidan engaged the death knight in single combat, Frostmourne clashing against Illidan's Twin Blades of Azzinoth. Ultimately the demon was left bloodied in the snow as Arthas advanced, undeterred by the voices of the past echoing in his head, warning him against the action he was about to take.
Some say that Arthas was still in control of his own actions when he ascended the steps of the Frozen Throne; others claim that he had been the Lich King's creature ever since taking up Frostmourne. Whatever the case, a single voice stood out in the death knight's mind as he reached the runic armor encased in ice. "Return the blade," commanded the Lich King. "Complete the circle. Release me from this prison!" With a roar, Arthas brought Frostmourne down, shattering the Frozen Throne. He then donned Ner'zhul's helm, sealing his union with the Lich King.
The Lich King waits now, scheming to lure adventurers down the same dark path that Arthas tread. Frostmourne hungers for the souls of both the brave and the foolish, and somewhere Ner'zhul's voice still echoes within the helm of the Lich King.

Now, we are one.

I  received a report and some maps from a source of mine about a new deep water harbour,
well that what they call it any way,  that the Alliance have built behind there capital City of Stromwind.
So I payed it a little visit and it is a worrying sight to witness.
I will do a full report on my journey and will also come up with a way to pay it a visit with a few Orcs to try to slow there production down and may be sink a few of their iron ships.
When I have gone over my notes I will post me maps and plan for a war band to pay them a visit.

Please read it you may learn some thing.

Posted on another site but reposted for the benefit of the Tribe I hope.

“Lack of Communication” or “You want me to do what?”

Lack of communication can be a killer for raiders.
The leader communications breaking down due “too many chiefs, not enough Indians” is the main problem with in any raid party.
Oddly this hasn’t been a problem for the small groups I have played with.
In raids I have been apart of and have worked have been about 5 people discussing what we should do/strategy.
The reason we haven’t had problems and disagreements is because we discuss and have an extreme amount of respect for each other and there character abilities.
This candor and teamwork is rare in raids, you need to work on it and hold on to it for dear life.

The leader/group problems exist mainly when things go wrong.
The main attribute as to why is understanding.
If something goes wrong, people in the raid need to tell the group what they saw go wrong but do so in an orderly manner.
Leaders need to be able to calmly organize for an additional attempt with changes from the first attempt in a polite and explicit manner.
It does not mater that a mage pulled agro from a patrol it happens that is what makes the game the unknown. LAUGH IT OFF.

Fight coordination is paramount, and most new raiders do not see the big picture of the fight.
After a wipe, you do not want to be scolded by your raid leader in a very brash/rude manner.
A bad leader is one that never gives any advice as to why you failed (wiped) or directs  you to do better, by yelling for you to do it right.
Many if new to the raid party do not know what “right” is with in the raid.
Raid leaders must always keep this in mind for all encounters, especially if you have the same people in a raid group as last time.

“Lack of Perspective” or “Learn to play”

Lack of perspective can cause infighting in raids.
Anyone in raids needs to get rid of the mentality that any class as a whole isn’t doing their job. “Where the hell were my heals?” and “Aren’t you even trying?” are comments that are unfair for anyone to say.
First let’s back this concept up a bit and focus on people of similar class.
There are two types of players in the game: those that know how to play their class and those that don’t.
For the first type, we have no issue in raids with them as far as performance.
For the second they can slow down the raid or be dead weight.
If this is the case, it is the raid leader and the whole of the party’s responsibility to help said person become better in and out of the raid and to do so in a courteous manner, may be put them under the wing of a veteran raider who is solely responsible them is the answer here.
New characters to the raid should not feel that they can not ask “why do that etc”
We have declared that we are a group of friends or a friendly group that will die for the tribe *cough*.
If anyone under the friend’s umbrella isn’t willing to do the above for another “friend”, they should not be under that umbrella.
Doing so forms stronger friendships and bonds between all of us which turn good players into great ones and great ones into legends like me *cough*.

Cross-class, perspective is important to understand in how you should do things and how others are doing things to help you.
In raids players need to do what they can to heal there selves and not rely upon healers alone.
Doing so allows healers to focus on keeping there selves alive as well as the party
(It is no good the healer dieing this leads to all dieing) but having said that healers should not just sit back and not aid we can all do that easy job.
All classes need to keep that in mind about all other classes or at least try to.
That being said, if anyone outside your class asks what you are doing, be respectful enough to give them the general idea so they can help accommodate your moves with theirs.
Again, if this doesn’t happen, class A can begin to resent class B = Anarchy.
Let the classes do the job they are made for i.e., rogues do the “stunning”.
Do not give them the negative attitude / you can’t hit as hard as me if that the way you wish it to run fine let the rouge hide in the back sheathed run into a few mobs run out of heals then see how good that hard hitting is.
And on a personal note here when the rogue does there job stun / sap and it takes, act before the stun / sap dissipates do not stand around looking at the pretty lights going around there heads the stun is the start of the attack go to it. (My rant over)

“Loot and patience” or “I want that or I leave”

Raiding is for fun, but loot happens.
I hold it as a personal rule that if anything I want drops, and I find myself unable to freely pass it to a friend that needs it more than me I will roll need the rest is greed to give the need characters the chance.

The greatest thing this game can provide any of us is friendships.
Is a tarnished friendship worth +5 agility, +5 stamina upgrade on my shoulders?
Not only no, but hell no.
Keep that in mind when purples drop do not get the fever check your own stats against it do you really need, remember a lot of blue items are better then the purple any way.
By taking that item are you breaking the set you already got / looking for.
Do not roll on items only with selling it in mind when it would be of use to others with in the group.
Don’t be crushed if you do not win that item you wanted except it, you can always do the run again.
And under no circumstance roll for other characters that is not fair on the group who have got of there backsides to do the run just so you can pass to a alt.

Patience is also something that needs to be applied when we are doing these runs.
That being said, your set piece/weapon that you want will come in time.
The same perspective can be applied to killing bosses.
If there is a boss you haven’t killed yet, it’s ok if you take a couple runs to figure out how.
This isn’t a race, we aren’t competing against anyone.

The destination of what we are heading towards is NOT as important as the path.
If you are hurried and hell-bent on getting somewhere right away, when you do the instance it will seem like business as usual “Raid Fatigue” boredom once again comes to visit.

If we enjoy what we are doing as we are doing it, it will always be fun.
It also promotes, dare I say it, RP in territory that is unknown to the new raiders in the group which opens up new and some times funny scenarios it is up to us.
Remember “Variety is the spice of life”

If we raid all the time, we will experience raid fatigue.
If you keep in mind that everyone in the raid is actually thinking about what to do and is making split second decisions 100s of times per run, that kind of mental workout wears you down after a few hours sit make a fire have some fun.

No one we hope is just sitting at there computer there pressing a single button at their leisure.
One thing that does get lost in any party game is there is another person on the other end of that character trying to play the same game as you respect that person.

“Preparation” or   â€œI need “Water”

A prepared raid is a good fun raid.
Get your foods, healing/enhancing potions, water, health stones, soul shards, vanishing powders, poisons, etc. before you start raiding.
Preparation shows eagerness and respect for your fellow raiders.
I know it seems like hard work at times, but its one of the things that can break the game.

“Knowledge is Power”

Get to know the mobs you will be fighting.
Know which damage they do when attacked, know what is needed to kill each: when and how.
If you are a warrior, know that you may have to off tank if things go bad.
Damage meters/healing meters are good for gauging how you are doing vs others of your group nothing else they do not enhance the game play.
The highest person on each doesn’t get a shiny star by their name on the teacher’s list. They do not get a special reward.

From a characters perspective in instances, a character that contributes a lower total damage and a lower amount of heals is far more valuable than a character that does tons of damage but needs tons of heals.

In an instance any player that lasts the duration with minimal death “wins”.
Everyone will die at some point in the run, just try not to for reasons you could avoid. Know that our healers are, at times, hard pressed, heal yourself and help them out.

“Respect and Friendship” or “You can call me claws now”

Respect your fellow raiders and you will receive the same.
That is simply that.

Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war...

                                          CLAWS!

The Campfire / Claws
July 28, 2008, 03:00:09 AM

Big wall incoming.
Posted before hope this is what you meant.

It is Claws story what makes her tick.
What makes her react the way she does.

The telling of my story is a long one but which needs to be told to fully understand me and to understand me is to have a.

A trusted blade by your side

First I must give a short history lesson of the Orc as handed down to me by my teachers.

The year of -10000 BO
The Night Elves arrived first and opened the way for the Dark Legions of chaos to enter the world.
The Elves unable to defeat the Legion ally them selves with the Dragons which then roamed the lands.
The ensuing war was so apocalyptic a great part of Kalimdor broke apart from the land mass and fell beneath the sea.
The Elves seeing what they had unleashed upon the world vowed nether to use magic again.

The year of -6000 BO
A group of Elves are unwilling to do this and break away to form there own kingdom of Quel’Thalas in the newly formed eastern kingdoms, and refer to themselves as High Elves.

The year of -2900 BO
The Human Empire of Arathor is founded in Lordaeron and expands into Azeroth.

The year of -2700 BO
The High Elves once again are at war this time with the Trolls and ask for aid from the Humans and show the humans the way of magic as payment for there aid in a war that they once again can not finish alone. The combined forces almost wipe out the tribal Trolls.

The year of -2600 BO
The Humans reckless use of the magic let lose the Dark Legion or the Burning legion as it is was also known once again.
Groups who call them selves The Guardians of Tirisfal is formed and are charged with fighting a secret war with the Legion.

The year of -200 BO
The Human over expansion of the world cause fragmentation into 7 nations. Azeroth and Lordaeron being just 2

The year of -45 BO
The lord of the Burning Legion Sageras is killed but not defeated by Aegwynn one of the Guardians of Tirisfal in single combat but un be known to her his sprit bonds with her soul and her future unborn child.
The Legion is once again banished from the world.

The year of -40 BO
But although they were thought to be banished from the lands the Burning Legion are busy corrupting the Noble and peaceful shamanistic Orc nation.

Under the rule of the Shadow Council (the Legion) the noble Orcs become a rampaging horde and decimate large areas of the world with little or even no loss to there selves.
With nobody to stand against the horde they turn there bloodlust on each other.
Tribe fights tribe for dominancy over each other with tyrant warlords set in place by the Legion.
But there victories are short lived.

The year of -37 BO
Aegwynn gives birth to her son Medivh who is destined to become the Last Guardian.

The year of -1 BO
Medivh is slowly corrupted and driven mad by the sprit of Sageras the Lord of the Burning Legion within him and when he is able opens a dark portal.
He contacts Gul’dan leader of the Shadow Council and makes a dark deal in exchange for the destruction of Azeroth he hands over the location of the tomb belonging to Sageras.
Becoming pawns to the Dark Legion the Horde start there invasion of Azeroth.

The year of 0 AO
Medivh is killed.
Leadership of the Horde falls to Orgrim Doomhammer who conquers the Azeroth and Khaz Mordan nations the Horde claims Blackrock Spire as its base of operations.
Mean while Lord Lothar leads a Human exodus of refuges to the northern nation of Lordaeron.
Once there he unites the 7 Human nations to once again fight the Orc Horde.
In the ensuing chaos a young Orc was found and although not killed was taken by the Humans and trained as a slave and gladiator for entertainment his name was THRALL.

The year of 18 AO
Thrall escapes the humans and sets of on a life quest to once again reunite the Orcs and to the glories of there past.
On his journey he succeeds in reuniting a number of renegade Orc tribes and leads them on a revolt against the Alliance of Humans.
In time Thrall becomes our greatest and new warchief and helps his people to find there way back to the shamanistic culture.
Reinvigorated the horde has finally started to lose the last traces of the Legions demonic corruption.

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It his here that my story starts Thrall needed to lessen the burden on his self and in powered his personal body guard Nazgrel to aid him in the running in the day to day maters of the now vast Orc Empire.

Nazgrel became trusted and much liked by the Horde and even respected by the Humans for his Honor both on and off the field of battle.
He lived by his own code which was looked upon by some with strange amusement for that of a great warrior.

1.   Be selective in your prey do not kill for the love of killing that only takes you down the path of the berserkers and once again to the doors of the Legion.
2.   Be wary of all whom use the dark arts especially the warlocks for it was these that plunged our kind into the service of the Legion.
3.   Trust is built upon time, trust once and see what develops from that trust.
4.   Never look down on an Orc of lower station we all started there even the greatest of our warriors and leaders.
5.   And above all nether ever take the blood of an orc unless he is your mortal enemy.

In time Nazgrel took an Orc wife Teku who he had rescued from a Human raiding party among the hills of the Barrens.
Teku was of a wild character which drew Nazgrel to her, not knowing a family and only a handful of trusted friends, she was street wise living in the back alleys of Alliance and Horde town’s coming and going as she liked an Orc of great stealth known to her few friends as Ghost.
The marriage was how ever short lived as she could not live the life of Nazgrel within the confines of the Horde city.
She left Nazgrel with great reluctance and on good terms and vowed to return to him when she felt she could settle down.
Nazgrel was torn between the Horde nation and his love for his wife but could not leave the Horde but understood his wife’s dilemma has he too had a deep longing for the open tundra again.
He provided for all her needs and gave to her a great wealth so she would not need for any thing and also two loyal blade warriors as her personal body guard.

Unbeknown to Nazgrel, Teku was with child when the final day of her departure came and she vowed that she would not revile this to him has it would tear Nazgrel apart having to then decide between the Horde and his now extended family.
She made her retainers swear a blood oath not to revile her secret, but in return had to swear as part of that oath to let the knowledge be known to the off spring when he / she came of age of its heritage as well as Nazgrel his self.

And now that brings me to my life so far.
I was brought up not knowing my heritage.
I was known as Claws because of my fast and unyielding way of battle (although this is not my given name).
Always being kept away from others to keep my identity from becoming knowledge to the Humans whom would go to any lengths to get hold of the child of one of there greatest adversaries.
Except for the company of my mother’s retainers whom came to be my tutors and closest friends taught me all they could about the way of the blade.
My only other company were the teachers brought in from around the known world to instruct me in the ways of diplomacy and commerce, they failed.
At the coming of age was told the story of my heritage which came as a great shock to me, always believing that I was just an unwanted illegitimate child of some noble and not the wanted child of some Great warrior in the personal ranks of the greatest of all warlords Thrall.
After many days of soul searching I went to my mother telling her that I wished to be known to my farther and would go to him in the Horde city which she agreed as her blood oath had dictated.
On my departure she came to me and gave me two wonders blades both which had belong to Nazgrel him self and would be the proving my blood line.
And told me of the unwritten code of honor which my farther lived by and which I should endeavor to live by with a few added on from her.

6.   Remember not all have the luxury of your up bringing and are thrown into there destiny some willing to be, some not so willing but just carried along by circumstance.
7.   Trust in your blade and your own skills do not rely on others to come to your aid.
8.   And keep your identity safe from those whom would show you harm.

And yet my life story is not yet done I can often be seen sitting with my father and the elite guards, and even some times Thrall his self being told of great battles long forgotten in the history of our great nation but not in the hearts and minds of our great of warriors.
And when sitting there I see in the eyes of my father the longing for once again the simple life and being reunited with his wife and love Teku.

                                         I ‘m known as
                                                  CLAWS

Enlightenment.

I’ve always been kept away from others in my younger days to keep my identity from becoming knowledge.

Except for the company of my mother and her retainers who taught me all they could about the way of the blade and bow my only other company was the teachers brought in from around the known world to instruct me in the ways of diplomacy and commerce.
I found these teachers tiring and boring I longed to be out with my mother’s retainer’s doing what came naturally to me blade practice.

And so my words and numbers became harder and harder for me until such time teaches gave up on me as a lost cause.

To this day words are often alien to me and many an Orc has found it hard to understand my written word, and now many an Orc carry the scars of my blades that have taken it upon themselves to remind me of this fact or bring it to the attention of others.

But when it comes to battle you may come to understand one thing you can count on my fighting prowess to aid you and even die for you.

                                         I ‘m known as
                                                       CLAWS

Remember the destination of what we are heading towards is NOT as important as the path.

Foot Note.

This is not in no way  intend as a dig or knock at any body or is it meant as a sob story, rather it is meant to may be open the eyes of others who take things as read for granted so to speak.
((Oh bad pun)).

I’ am Dyslexic.
Me the person on the other end of the keyboard.

Often what I type may not make sense to any who may read it (more so if English is not the native tongue I should think).
It has taken me  hours to type this nothing to be proud of I know but may be people may understand a bit more why I may take offence to remarks made to me and even others in a condescending manner although they may not be meant as intended.
I have had it for 36+ years now and believe me at my ripe old age it is not nice to be reminded of this disability each time I play.
Also it should be remembered that some do not use English as their native tongue, or maybe somebody is younger then you’re self.
(Something that is absolutely amazing to me is the people who are not English who can type / read better than us Brit's, must be a sign of a poor education system I salute you all).
But please remember we are not all Einstein’s or Shakespeare’s on here and there is a real life person at the other end who has got feelings.
Even Orcs.

The Campfire / Kei's Lament.
June 10, 2008, 12:35:07 PM
Taken from the journal of Kei.

Thoughts.

So he has gone.
I hope with all my soul that he finds peace at last, a peace he never had all the time he was Chieftain.

The word has flittered down to me.
Although my loyalty to the tribe had never wavered, even now while wandering in the outlands my thoughts go to the tribe, and to the Chieftain I could not stay true too because of his own oath i swore to him.

I was Orc in the true meaning of the word.
I would follow the law and the word of my Chieftain to the ends of the known world if required to do so.

“Taking orders should never be done with out thought Kei”,
The Chieftain had said this to me many times.
“Always question my orders Kei, make sure I have not been tainted with out side influences no matter what, always be true to the tribe, the tribe is all and comes before any one Orc swear this to me Kei”.
I took this oath with out second thought.

The Chieftain had sent out the order to take up residents within the Elf lands to do there dirty work and to become there fodder, may be even lay down the lives of Orcs for those who could not or would not put there own lives on the line for there own security.

This I disagreed with it was against all I had come to believe.
It was not the Orc way and no matter how much I protested this to the Chieftain as he had sworn me to do so he was not listening any more, his ears had been poisoned by the honey words of the Blood Elf’s and from those with in the tribe who had much to gain by his own death.
Those who swore there selves as blood brothers to the tribe and the Chieftain yet worked there own schemes from within.

In my eyes, he had lost his way.
It was not my way too blindly follow when it could jeopardise the tribe to the wants of others.
I was not going to become a lap dog to any other race.
Although others felt the same within the tribe they where to weak of mind to stand up for there selves and speak out and face being exiled as I have for carrying out my orders, and yet I would do it again if the situation dictated it.

It is the Orc way to lead in battle not to be led by flower pickers who’s whole outlook was to use any and all to achieve there goal, to find there god cursed arcane powers which they lost due to there own weakness.

Our lord Thrall had told us to work with the Blood Elf’s to assist them in remaking there homelands not to follow them blindly but watch them, and always be weary of there ways.
“The enemy of our enemy is our friend but not our equal”. Thralls own words to the Orc nation.

At one time, I sat at the Chieftains right hand giving advice, bowing to his every need doing his work away from the eyes and ears of others leaving the duty of peace or war in his hands.
However, I was always there.
Somewhere.
At meetings with allies or enemies not seen or heard unless required but listening to the words spoken.
My blades ready to go to his side if required.

I was their, to give my approval or refusal to those seeking to become part of the tribe.
Listening to Orcs and there not so secret meetings with the Chieftain at his request, hearing there vision on what the tribe should be, given the Chieftain my own views when it was asked for.
Marking the Orcs that need to be watched within the tribe those that had there own agendas, those that had plans of there own which would altimetry do damage to the tribe.

It was my job to keep the Orcs in line, my job to keep the tribe secure, to seek out dissension before it could take hold.
Yes, I had sent many an Orc of with there heads bowed low to find peace at the bottom of a mug of ale.
However, this had made the tribe stronger, it was the way of the Orc to rid it self of the weak.

The weak had left the tribe of there own free will, realising they had not the discipline the tribe demanded, they would sulk off into the world only to show there faces again amongst the tribe when they deemed the time right to put there schemes into play.

Is it to early to partition my self to once again enter the tribe to stand with my brothers and sisters who meant so much to me?
Alternatively, is it a lost cause to try to carry on with the vision which has been past down from Orc to Orc?
Had the power hungry already influenced the Orcs to a point where it was too late?

Kei finished her daily report in her journal reflecting on her words they where direct but as always to the point they said what had to be said.
Wrapped it in the ancient leather which made the Journal secure from prying eyes which would use it to better there own cause.
The journal would disintegrating if it was not opened by her hand keeping it save so nobody could read her words with out her consent.
Words that had been shared with all the great leaders of the tribe, but for now was placed in its hiding place.

Said a silent prayer to her Chieftain, to Koz and a friendship that went, a lot deeper then most Orc only dreamed.

Whistled her wolf mount that was running around chasing the wild life for his own amusement,
Tightened her blades to her belt and readied herself for the meeting that she had been requested to attend with loyal Orc from the tribe.

Well it is here and!!!!
AOC that is.

The graphics are amazing. :o
Very much like LOTR with bells on.
The combat mechanics are good (well I think so any way) it is not a case of just spam the button you have to place your hit were there is less protection on your opponent.
But the story line ummm bit linear questing is a bit on the easy side as well.
However early days.
RP does not happen at the moment everybody running around getting used to the set up.
The servers seem to be real stable and for first day with people making characters etc; that is amazing.

Having said that do not know if I will stick with it past the 30 day trial.
Just seems to lack atmosphere for want of better word. :-\

The Campfire / “It is done Lord”.
May 03, 2008, 11:58:11 PM
“It is done Lord”.
“Good you have done well Kei”.
“Did they suspect you at the end?”
“Suspect me what do you mean suspect me?”
“Come sit with me Kei your father is on his way here now, it will soon be over for you, then you can take your earned rest”.
Kei sat beside Thrall with her head cast down.

“Kei why the face of a Troll you have done what you have been trained for all your life you did my bidding in doing so you have done the horde a great services”.
“I know my Lord but it does not sit well with me to turn my back on the tribe that had become my family I held a place of great respect, I was trusted”.

Thrall clapped his large hands together.
The curtains behind him opened, standing there was the Elf the same one Kei had run into when she went to find her mother in the heart of the capital of Stormwind, the same one that had drugged her and left her lying on the bottom of a boat to be found by her tribal brothers.
(Ref:- “Claws Story - She has been found” wikki site).
The elf bowed low to Kei “Well meet sister”.
“You, always you”, Kei jumped to her feet blades in hand.
“Have you been watching me all the time”?
“HOLD KEI”! Boomed Thrall.
Kei turned to face Thrall her face filled with rage.
“You where told I would be watching you and your adopted tribe”.
(Ref:- “A place by the fire” on the wikki site).
Kei lowed her blades and sat down heavily into her chair.

“But why an elf”?
“Because it was required of your Lord Thrall,” replied the elf.
Kei look up at the elf her eyes a blaze.
“EXPLAIN YOURSELF ELF,” growled Claws.

The elf turned towards Thrall.
“With your permission Lord Thrall”.
Thrall grunted his approval.

“My name is Qulest and like you I work for the Lord Thrall and my own Lord Kael'thas Sunstrider”.
“I do not work for any elf Lord Qulest,” stammered Kei she looked into the eyes of Thrall and knew straight away that what she had said was not the case.
“Yes Kei you do” Thrall replied in a quiet voice.
“You see Kei when the elves came to me asking for aid, I made certain assurances that they would not become our lap dogs to do our bidding, that is why you where told too go to the Red Blades and to become part of them and to keep me informed on all there actions”.
Kei was stunned and could do nothing but stare with her mouth wide open.
“If I was to lend aid I needed to be assured that the Orcs out there would do my binding with out question, to not cause friction with the Blood Elves and who better then the tribe of the Red Blades the most loyal of all my tribes”.
“And I thought it was only the Trolls that used politics and intrigue as a weapon, you used me Thrall, used me to do your dirty work to spy for you and I did not even know, it why did you not just tell me from the start I would have carried out your orders”.
“Yes Kei I did use you, I used you as I use countless others to do my bidding, to work as I see fit and this fitted you well Kei, but you tell me what would have happened if you let it known your duties to me, I would have had a civil war on my hands”.

The door opened and in walked Nazgrel Kei father.
“Bah seems I’m too late by the look on her face, she looks like a slapped hog have you already started and told her before I got here”.
“You knew about this father”?
“KNEW I was the one who suggested it be you, do you honestly think that Thrall and I spent all those nights listening to your reports and stories with out a motive”. He said with a wide grin.
“Although some of them stories did give us a good laugh you were telling us want we need to know, the thoughts and feelings of the tribes the Orcs” Thrall chuckled.
“But why me”?
“Because you where young we could mould you to what was required, your trust in us for doing what is best for all is unwavering, you’re fighting skills, all this and more made you the right choice”, answered Thrall.

“So you see Claws you have been working for my Lord as well as your own”, Qulest injected.
“Please call me Kei, for you know me better then I know my self it seems”.
“As you wish Kei,” she said with a smile,
“With your permission may I have your blades I promise to return them”.
Kei looked at the elf then to Thrall who shrugged his shoulders.
She unclipped the blades and passed them to Qulest.
Taking the blades Qulest laid them on to a table and past her hands over the handles while using the words of the mage the handles both burst into a bright blue light then dimmed.
“What in the abyss are you doing”? demanded Kei.
“Wait sister all is well”.
There was a soft click as two gems one from each blade dropped from the handles.
“You will no longer be requiring these little baubles”.
“And what are they”, asked Kei.
“It was my Lords way of knowing where you were at all times sister, the way I tracked you in other words”.
“I’m impressed elf”. Was all Kei could say picking up her blades and returning them to her belt,
"Any other tricks I should know about”?
“Not at this time Kei”, Qulest said with a smile.

“So what now, I have finished my duties, I have been exiled from the tribe I knew as family what now is left for me?”
“Umm yes what to do with you now” Thrall said rubbing his chin smiling.
“Well my Lord Kael'thas has asked for you Kei he is in need of your services it seems, that is if you have a mind too”.
“Lead on elf lead on”.
