Off Topic / What MMO would you put the Red Blade in?
August 27, 2015, 08:25:40 PM
Let's say for a second that WoW is shutting down for some reason (Blizzard is making WC4 and they don't want 2 storylines going).

What MMO would you put the Red Blade on instead? And for what reason? Would the style of the Red Blade fit the Lore of that MMO? Would we still be Orcs?

Elder Scrolls Online (ESO):
They do have Orcs, but I am not sure if the types of Orcs in the Elder Scrolls universe would fit the Red Blade. First thing, they are not orcs, they are elves (mer), Orsmer.
Secondly, Orcs society is often based on Strongholds, all women in the stronghold is the Chieftains wife or his daughters. You battle to the death for the role of Chieftain. Orcs in ES are pretty much the "strongest survive" persona. And they already have their code from their god, their god is the god of the outcast, pariahs, cursed and damned.

EVE Online (EVE):

He he he, nope, did you really think that?

Star Wars The Old Republic (TOR):
Well, there are no orcs but there are Mandalorians. They seem like they would be able to work with Red Blade philosophy, travel around, find things to beat, beat said things, gather around and awe how strong we are.

Alternatively, we go republic and become some kind of Jedi-clan with plenty of Smugglers and republic Commandos.

Red Blade Records / Regorn Thunderheart
April 24, 2015, 10:27:50 PM

Name: Regorn Thunderheart
Alias: The Yolk Shaman
Rank: Oathbound

Age: Old as Dirt
Gender: Male
Race: Orc
Clan: Shadowmoon Clan/Thunderfury Clan
Class: Shaman
Alignment: Chaotic Good/tired Good

Family: Unknown father and mother
Known Friends: Sadok(+ Friendly Rival), old Thunderfury Clan
Known Enemies: All things demonic and fel

Appearance:
Regorn was old and it could be seen, or not for Regorn was always covered by his shamanistic robes and wolf-helmet. He never took them of even when they were dirty beyond color. The robes were blue with some light brown decoration. Around his waist he carried pouches with regents and his totems. Regorns weapon was a crystal staff given to him by a earth elemental, it currently rest at the chieftain tent (http://orcsoftheredblade.com/forum/index.php?topic=2808.0).

Underneath his robes, Regorn had scars from old battles.

Personality:
Regorn was grumpy, bitter, regretful and very spartan. He view anything related to fel or demonic as corruption and will judge anything who consort with such power for any reason. Even mages walked a fine line for Regorn. Things such as a common bed, baths or other nice things in life Regorn viewed as luxury, and he had decided to punish himself to never use them again. Even at his old age he slept outside on the ground, this lead him to sometimes complain about his back. Regorn also viewed anything not Orcish to be gibberish, he could not even read or understand common or very long and complicated words, having received no education outside his shaman training. This was often a source of jokes, as Regorn could not understand many words Sadok spoke of, Regorn himself just assumed the words were elvish words.

Regorn was trapped at his guilt and was full of regret, only shorty before his death he was free of it.

History:
Regorn was born of a shaman who attempted to train him from a early age to be a shaman, Regorn would have none of that and often argued with his father and thought the path of the Shaman the path of a coward. Regorn desired glory of battle and spend much of his youth training for this. When Ner'zhul gathred the Clans to form the horde, Regorns father disagreed and told Regorn not to heed the summon, Furious at being denied glory he desired so long he slew his father.

Regorn joined the horde for glory and to kill, believing honor was just how many you had killed in glorious battle. As the war against the Draenei went on, Regorn became more and more bloodthirsty. His bloodlust helped him in battle, not so much in ranking up in the horde, he never left the grunt rank. Drinking the demon blood did not help him.

Regorn traveled with the Horde and fought it's battles, killing anything he could, soldiers, women and children.

When the horde finally fell, Regorn was crushed, his long awaited glory was nothing, all the killing for nothing, to be put inside a camp and wait for a slow death. When his camp was liberated by Thralls new Horde, he saw the power of the Shamans and took up training. Regorn's training was a long and hard one, even by the time of battle of Mount hyjal he was nothing more then a initiate.

After the third war Regorn took on a journey, he traveled long and far before meeting and befriending the she orc Olgama. Olgama introduced Regorn to a clan formed by a man called Tag'rash Thunderfury, The Thunderfury clan. The clan rejected all notion of the Fel and embraced the old ways of the Shaman, honorable warriors and cunning hunters. Regorn took training under Tag'rash and Regorn became a fully fledged Shaman, even more then that, under Tag'rash training Regorn started to see sights of far away, path of the Far seer. Regorn became one of the three far seers of the Thunderfury clan.

Not was not all well with the Thunderfury clan, a demon had gained their interest, it slowly corrupted the Warmaster, Gorokk, made him slaw the chiftain and take control of the clan. Blocking the sights of the Far seers and Shamans using demonic rituals to stop them from interfering. Under Gorokk's leadership, skirmish against the alliance was common and when the clan was weaken, he took the clan to outland where the demons had lied in wait.

Regorn survived the slaughter that claimed all of his brethren and sisters by hiding under corpses. In Regorns eyes, this was a nonredeemable sin of cowardice, if he had seen this happen he could have prevented it but his sight was empty. When Regorn attempted suicide a earth elemental gave him a staff and told him, when he was redeemed, he would willingly give up the staff. Sense then Regorn held the staff with a Iron grip.

When Regorn returned to Kalimdor he heard of The Red Blade, he saw the Red Blade allowed warlocks in their mist openly and believed it meant this tribe's doom, he decided to join to try to prevent that. At lest, if it happened, he would not sit and hide under corpses.

After long time had passed, Regorn received his Far sight vision once again, this time when he was at Outland with the Tribe, he saw his death and the death of the demon that destroyed the Thunderfury clan, he gave his Staff to Mazguul and fought the demon to death.

He was later buried by the Tribe on outland by fire. He rejoined the Thunderfury clan in death in the Spirit realm, the first one to greet him as he died being Tag'rash.

The Campfire / Song of Spells and Spirits
June 30, 2014, 12:55:40 AM
Rekor don't have much knowlege when it comes to magic and the spirits. So he think what he sees and what other says.

The song was transcribed on a piece of bone from Rekor's first trial and given to Sadok as a gift.
The entire songs comes from the fact Rekor heard a mage be called "Spellsinger" once, and very much believes magic is associated with songs. So he believed it was a fitting tribute to the mage.

See what can't be seen
Touch what can't be touched
Hear what can't be heard

Shines as silver
Glimmer like gold
Darker then night

Great flames won't die
Cold ice won't melt
Spirit will not pass

Songs to call the power
Of unseen spells

The Campfire / Voice on turning wind
November 16, 2013, 05:07:31 PM
((seriously, I need to come up with a new name other then "Voice on X Wind"))

Plans of Nagrand was lovely as always, on a floating rock a few orcs sat, next to a tree.

"I Say, I have not seen anything like that before". One of the orcs said, face covered with a wolf helmet, simple garment and a wolf path on his hand.

"Indeed, I wonder how it happened? How did we not see it coming?". The second orc proclaimed, dressed with blue and brown outfit and an other wolf helmet.

"Really? Don't you think we got something more to discuss then this?". A orc, bare chested and wolf helmet told the others.

"But, we wonder how it was done", "Yes, tell us" The two first orcs answered.

"You shamans really wonder how my mate manage to clime up on my head without us seeing it? More so then the strange sights we seen?" The third orc said... with a she-orc in full armor sitting on his head.
The two orcs looked at each other and nodded in agreement.

"Olgama, leave my head, please". Tag'rash told his mate, "We never get any work done". Olgama laughed and jumped down, telling the orcs she see them later, and beat them up. living as a spirit had not really changed Olgama much. Tag'rash was eased to finally get some peace, saying they should continue.

Regorn leaned forward and started talking
"We did saw something, it was... strange to say the least, a portal from here to new world"

"But the portal was not linked from here" Vaan filled in.

"Yet it was, very strange" Regorn continued.

Tag'rash scratched his beard, this was... new and strange. Sure, visions with little information was common or incomplete visions as well. This however, said of something that will happen, and have happen at the same time.

"I say we don't speak of this to the still alive, not even we are sure what it means" Vaan insisted. "We tell them when we have a clue what this all means I say".

"What harm can be done if we tell them? if the vision is incomplete they will know that and simply wait until more is revealed" Regorn said.

"You are very fond of those Red Blade folks, ain't you Regorn?" Tag'rash spoke up, "No, we wait until we have a clue what this means"

The Orcs nodded around in unison, at lest they could agree on things. They continue to speak for sometime, trying to decide how to acquire stronger visions, heavy drinking came up at lest twice. Regorn keep coming with suggestions that they should enlist the aid of the Red Blade Shamans, Tag'rash and Vaan did not agree. They all three started to meditate... until Olgama came back and knocked them all sideways, they were not really that surprised over it. Maybe enlisting aid were Olgama could not reach was a good idea after all?.

All that remained on that floating rock, in the middle of Nagrand was a wind that just turned, turned so fast it could have hit you with a fist.

((PS: would any of you Shamans be interested in some prophecy vision (regarding the next expansion?), and get a spiritual meeting with a fist, PM me or just post here))

The Campfire / Voice on walking Winds
January 18, 2013, 01:56:52 PM
The wind hit the mountain wall surrounding Hammerfall, a Orc looks over the former interment camp and an other one walks up behind him and slaps him on his back head.
"You said you would come to Oshu'gun Thunderheart when they were done, and yet, I had to ask all the Spirits left in Ogrimmar to find out were you were going. Olgama send me to get you back finally"

Thunderheart turns around, still sitting down and answer back
"She sends you? You are turning in to a very obedient mate, are you not? I expect more from a chieftain like yourself."

The other Orc frowned on him, but he was a bit right he suppose, but Olgama could not bring back Thunderheart, his harden skull need to be persuaded, not beaten.
"Say, why are you even here? You know they will survive. Are you hopping they will spark a flame of change? They are but one small group against all of the Horde, and those blasted warlocks."

Thunderheart responded back. "You should have a bit more trust in them, they will do fine, I just want to see how well they will do it. They won't end up like us, beaten down and left to rot on the red Peninsula. That was a bad day, Thunderfury"

Thunderfury sighted and took of his wolf mask, looking over the blood spots that covered it before putting it back on
"You should not put so much blame on you for that, none of us saw it happen, not even me. You can watch them from Oshu'gun, just come with me. Olgama is not the only one missing you, Craam, Vaas and all the others warriors, hunters, rogues and shamans as well of the clan. They probably won't even disturb you if you just want to watch them... Olgama might be a small exception.

Thunderheart got up and nodded, first however, he took up a Yolk from his satchel and put it down. Thunderfury looked on the Yolk and then Hammerfall and asked.
"Won't the wind eventually make the smell go to the camp? Why would you- oh.... you should really get a hobby."

Thunderheart grinned at him and answer. "Seems I got one, he he he"

A wind passed the stone wall and the orcs who were standing at a cliff walked off, fading away until they were gone, leaving only behind a lonely Yolk.

__________

The Wind kept blowing on the Stone wall, always making a turn around a cliff, making the wind go south to the former interment camp, A bird went close to investigate the smell, before flying away when it got close. The Yolk however, remained

The Campfire / Voice on leaving Wind
December 21, 2012, 11:48:59 PM
((I felt inspired, beside, Sadok claimed he loves the "fancy words" stuff happening))

The Wind was unusually dry on top of the cliffs overlooking Ogrimmar, a very sunny weather had passed today, even for Durotar. Ogrimmar had always had the spark of War in it, as long as there is orcs, there will be a will for glory and conquest. How however, the spark had busted in to a flame, burned with the fuel of former conflicts that had happen over Azaroth. On the cliffs you could see most of it, trainees, blacksmiths, engineers and a new addition to the flame, Warlocks

"I can see that you will remain here for quite sometime, stubborn like always when you were under my teaching." A orc told an other on the cliffs, he continued
"you know we can't interfere, this is politics, brutal yes, but still politics. This have happen before and will happen again."

The other orcs nodded, "Indeed, but I still want to watch over this. I was with them for sometime, and even if Ogrimmar's shadow grows bigger, I want to see what they have planed"

"be weary at least, many of us have left, including all of us but you, we leave for Oshu'gun until changes comes. No mater what, the wisdom we carry will endure an other hard time. If you need help, I heard some Spirits still remain at the valleys were the shamans are at, at lest you can be there, promise me that." He rises and put his hand on the other orc shoulder

"I will, at least to put your mind to ease. Dark changes are coming, and I be a fool not to be with others and I will join you when my friends have been thru this difficult time, mentor."

The orc moved his hand away from the others shoulder and then slapped him on his back head.
"Stop calling me that! It was ages ago Thunderfury, but I inform the others of your decision, Olgama won't be pleased"

The orc let out a small giggle, "Well, she is your mate, keep a hold on her then, Chieftain"

The orcs started to walk away, "That is more like it, and if you speak with them, tell him I agreed with that feraleyes choice on the mater"

An other Strong wind came by and the orcs were gone, like they never been there
________

A Patrol of Grunts patrolling around Ogrimmar and a wind hit them all, one of them comments on the event, "The wind is getting stronger I tell you, almost like something is running away..."
The leader of the patrol turns around his head and yells back, "Why would anyone leave this place!? Garrosh will lead us to a glorious victory against the pink-skins! So Shut ya' yabbing and do your work!"
The Grunts kept on patrolling, quietly around the city, only interrupted by that blasted wind

The Campfire / A voice on the storm winds
September 05, 2012, 09:27:26 PM
((Following events takes place tonight! (the fifth of the ninth season)))

The storm was gathering even when the sun had not yet settled, this was to be a uneasy night for people to sleep. When the wind started to act up, a small leaf from a tiny tree got loose, it swirled around in the winds for a very good while. All things comes to an end however, a hand snatched the leaf right out of the wind, the hand took hold of the leaf and a face, a orc one, took a look on it. The orc smelled it, touched it and then smiled to it. He then let it go out of his hand and whispers to himself, "That will do just fine, for now at lest".

Inside a inn a couple of orc sleeps, even with the storm raging outside the orc have fallen asleep. Being tired makes that to you. A window, to small and even to far up to grant you a view of the inn's outside did let in quite a sound from the storm. The window gave little more then ventilation, granting you some fresh air at lest in the normal shut down in, but very little did find its way through the small window. A orc, sleeping loosely on the night hears something.

Drip
The orc open his half hazed eyes, see a small image in his skull, the window is letting water in slowly, surly that can't ruin a orc's sleep? Closing his eyes again and determine that won't stop him to sleep.
Drip
Drip
The orc, now a bit annoyed but the dripping got up and looked for a rag, finding one he used to clean himself off and put it down next to the window, he finds himself very satisfied, no more dripping sound on the floor. He looked out the window and saw the storm rage on, it was not to stop anytime soon. As expected, he saw a thunder strike, For a orc, that was hardly something to be scared off. But now the wind changed direction and hit him in his face, chilling his skin. Next to that, a leaf hit him in his face, the leaf, wet from the rain was stuck to his skin, he took his efforts to pull it loose. The orc now wondered if he would ever get his sleep this night, but, the leaf was dry in his hands. The orc lifted a eyebrow and wonders if he was just so tired he was imagining things.

A voice sounded from inside his room, "Took you long enough to get up"

The Orc quickly turned around and saw a figure sitting on a chair next to the table, being so dark he could not see who it was.
"Who are you? Friend or Foe?"

"You spend the last time I had with me, I told you about my clan, a bit of myself and we knew each other a bit before that even, I say friend then?"

The orc grabbed a candle but saw there was nothing he could light it with and then it bursted into a very small, but very light giving light and the orc saw who his guest was.

"Throm'ka Storm of the Earth, how does this night fairs you?" The guest said with a small smile on his face

"Thunderheart? you? but you are dead?.... oh"

Grek'thar pulled a chair to himself and sat down on the other side of the table, looking over Thunderheart, he let out a small grin and asked "For someone who's dead, you're looking awfully lively. How's the afterlife treating you?"
Thunderheart grabbed a cup, and started to chug it before looking back at Grek'thar and answerd back, "For someone who is alive, you're looking awfully tired. How's is your partner treating you?"
Grek'thar let out a small laugh, remembering that there is people sleeping still and tries to keep himself quiet. he gave a eye to the cup, asking Thunderheart why he was chugging it, as it was empty even sense Grek'thar emptied it during his supper. Thunderheart looked to the cup and said only "ops" and let it go, old habits dies hard sometimes. Grek'thar realised it was a reason Thunderheart had come back, Spirits rarely do something "just because they feel like it", So he decided to just let it out and ask him about it, he needed to sleep after all!

"Right then, let's talk one of our old favorite subjects, Politics. You might have seen some posters the Warchief have put up, there is a change coming to the Horde. Bigger one then a change of Warchief. The horde is going back."

Grek'thar being a bit puzzled by the last statement interrupts and asks on "what? going back were? Draenor?"

Thunderheart continues however "The horde is going back to it's old state, war seeking, placing honor on war, and victory to be gained by any means at all. He might pay a high price for such a thing. Publicly, it would be best not to be a shaman soon"

Grek'thar blinks a bit over such a saying, demanding to know what being a shaman have to do with it, surly a shaman in your ranks would boost morale and aid you in and out of combat, not to talk about the spiritual and elemental heritage they have been granted back after so many years.

A nod came from Thunderheart, he agreed with those things. "It's history a bit, the first horde, named now Fel Horde, the second self proclaimed horde, or called by us, the Dark Horde, and who are we? Some call us the New Horde, others, The Shaman Horde thanks to one orc, one single orc, Go'el, Garrosh does not care much for the Shaman's probably, but he cares about Go'el, who would not in his position? So basically, think before you do something in public Ogrimmar now on sometime ahead. I got a gut feeling Go'el will not be so popular sometime ahead now."

Grek'thar snarled at Thunderheart. "I am to expected to not say a word? am I to be silence?"

Thunerheart moved closer, almost burning his beard on the candle. "No, I expect you not to get yourself beaten up." He then moves back and reach for one of his many pouches, grabbing up a old smelly Yolk and ask, "Is yolk good for you?" with a very large smile on his face.

A memory of those Yolks strikes Grek'thar with pure fear, he remembers the taste and the smell very clearly, he responds with a very faked friendly tone, "No, Yolks is not good for me"

Thunderheart simply shrugs and put's the Yolk in the cup, "well, give it to the sharp tongue then? I am sure he will have happy memories from that one, now then, should you not be sleeping? After all, it is day time now"

Grek'thar was confused, he turned to the window and saw it was full light, reaching up to see out he suddenly slip on the wet leaf and...
...awaken by falling out of his bed. He feels on his back, a direct impact on the cold floor, he get's up and looks over the table, the cup is exactly were he left it, not Thunderheart. He grabs it to see if there was anything left in it, maybe a sip of ale, but he was greeted by a foul smelling artifact inside it, he quickly clench his mouth and nose not to smell or taste it. He looks out of the window and see a leaf sitting on it, eyeing the Yolk in the cup and whispers "Yolk Shaman..."
