10 - yes
1 - no

Safe to say the guild isn't going to disband.

Not that I play much of an active part in the guild these days, but I once did, so that gives me enough of a reason to vent my opinion!

;D

Long story short; YES, the guild should keep going in my opinion.

The game, guild and community changes with time. People come and go, the depature of the gleader is always a blow, but so far, somebody has always stood up to take charge. And if there isn't a single person right now, then go to a council of High Blades, and lead together, so that not the entire weight of the guild is on the shoulders of 1 person. As long as there are Orcs that still feel like Red Blades and want to keep going, then there is enough of a base to keep this guild.

Don't even have a comp that can run AoC right now, something that should hopefully be fixed in a month or so. Going to try AoC for sure, no interested in playing 2 MMRPG's, so I am going to choose either. From what I read right now, I think AoC is probably a very nice game, but at the same time I don't think it will be better then WoW. In which case I can start playing WoW with highest graphic settings on the new comp.

Of course the problem will be, that it is either going to be so hard to get, that only a few will get to play them, or there are going to be so many, that still only a few will get spots in raids as Deathknights. As for myself, provided I am still playing the game by then, I think I will wait for other hero classes to come out.

ORB is part of Covenant, but there are several of individual members, in both past and present, that hook up with other guilds or organisations for raiding.

Have a great summer Oz!

Perhaps by the end of this summer my comp will be upgraded, and we can run AoC. Or maybe it will be still be WoW by then. Either way, hopefully I will run into you again some day. It was a true pleasure!

(( To all things comes and end, even the institution that is the Red Blade called Claws. But perhaps letting go isn't so bad, even if it might feel different right now. It still allows you to explore new horizons, and who knows what you might find then. And while it has certainly been a bumpy ride on occasion, I wish you nothing but goodluck with whatever you decide to do next. ))

Even though I am not in the guild anymore, I think this is a wonderfull topic, so actually going to reply.

Quote from: Drakash on April 21, 2008, 07:17:59 PMAs to the discipline, I wouldn't mind being bullied around by my superiors (ICly that is) if they decide to do it. What I would -really- like to see is that the orders of the superiors being followed to the point and those who deliberately disobey continuously punished somehow. It would add greatly to the feeling of being a part of a tribe.

I was present, on an alt, at the warcouncil, and was surprised to see that all the Orcs where really doing was fighting amongst each other. Why it is certainly very cool to RP a social hierarchy in the Tribe, rank doesn't give you the right to just bully others, actually rank really shouldn't give you any rights what so ever. It should give you more responsibility. Its a sign of those that make things happen, and do a lot for the Tribe and those in it. Otherwise it just becomes an excuse to pretend to be more then others.

Yes there should be discpline, but also embrace the things that happen. I hear people saying that they want more WPvP and more events, yet Lorath was critized by the majority of the present Orcs. Perhaps it wasn't exactly how the Tribe envisions such an event, but at least it is somebody stepping up and trying to make things happen.

What is more important? The race and rank of the person hosting an event? Or the event itself?

Great post Drakash! ;D
