Title: Blizzcon Questions!
Post by: Grekthar on November 03, 2015, 08:38:18 PM
Hi there everyone! That's me in Anaheim in plenty of time for Blizzcon this weekend :3 And one of the things about Blizzcon is that we get to ask questions at the WoW panel.

I'll be giving ORB and NG a shoutout at my question moment, but I wanted to know what you guys think I should ask? Beyond the obvious "when do we get brown orcs playable?" question, I was considering asking about if we would see the rest of the Black Harvest warlock group in Legion.

What do you guys want asked at this whilst I'm here and have the opportunity, assuming someone in front of me in the queue doesn't ask the question before me :P

Several things Grek-san.

1. Cross-faction Communication. Absolute priority and it's important to the future of RP. Dont let them spew the usual crap about how "The technology isnt there yet." Star wars and Rift have it and they have MASSIVELY lower budgets. Tell them to disable it in PvP, and allow us to opt in and out of it on the menu everywhere else. Every NPC in-game can talk to each other, why cant we?

2. More lore for specific races. Where the fuck has Gallywix been since Cata? He showed up at the end of Siege, and the ONLY other mention is him in the short story The Blank Scroll, and that was a vision. Give other races of the horde and Alliance more lore to work with. Spend time expanding lore etc.

Do us proud Grek-san! <3

I guess my biggest question is what plans they have to make the rogue specs look and feel different. Warriors are relatively easy to see at a glance what their spec is, overcompensating, dual wielding or sword and board. Hunters will be simple too, petless, melee and pet or ranged and pet. Most specs can be recognized easily due to the visuals of the spells they're casting.

When it comes to rogues, you almost need to look at the buffs they use to recognize them. Assassination and Subtlety use the same weapons, combat is a little more recognizable. The attack animations are so similar they might as well be the same.

Enjoy Blizzcon!

I guess...

Will we have more life to already "used" areas? It just feels like most of the world they've build is empty and pointless, except for the 1% which is the "endgame" area. It's also the only place where enemies are worth something.

How rogue specs will be better defined and more individually unique is actually a brilliant choice. I for one always felt combat has been horridly neglected.

Well, that did not go as I planned... the Q+A setup was changed for this year so they could field more questions, something that was announced apparently according to the staff member I talked to, on the US Forums a month ago... the people that asked their questions live had been picked from the forums to give their questions, whilst the rest were from the mailbox that was in the Darkmoon Faire at Blizzcon, the rest were from social media or emails...

Hopefully though the questions you guys wanted asked got answered, either in the panel before the Q+A, I'm looking at you Rogues now with full on ninja capability in Legion... maybe next time I go I can get that shout out actually out and get some questions asked >.<
