*The Human messenger lay there at the feet of an exalted Horde Commander, in a pool of his own blood, dead. Slain for having no honour. Slain for having no loyalty. Slain for selling out his own. Slain for holding greed above all else. He had demanded Gold for the information he had...but the only metal he felt was that of a cold blade being thrust into his neck. The letter that his hand still grasps, reads as follows...*

Codename: Operation Orange
Stage 1 - Hillsbrad Foothills

Current status: Southshore relativley secure. Rest of Hillsbrad in confict. Horde holding Tarren Mill and surrounding areas well. Alliance supply routes through North and South both suffering heavily.

Finalised Plans:
1: Assault of Tarren Mill settlement (destroy targeted areas of town, loot supplies, disable Bat Rider capabilities, hold and garrison surrounding area. Horde losses preferable).
2: Gain control of surrounding area of Alterac (garrison North of Alterac, North-East of Dalaran, construct suitable defences, set up new supply line, begin preperation for troop movement into Alterac).

Agreed ETA: Bulk of Alliance army to be ready to begin invasion at approximatley 21:15.

Estimated Resistance: Minimal/Basic to Low

*The parchment is signed by a number of Alliance Commanders, with an attached map*

[[ Thanks for the positive replies, folks. It would be great if one of your officers who will be attending the battle would PM me their MSN so we can keep OOC contact during before and during the battle  :) ]]

[[ OOC:

Hi all!

We have been roleplaying out an IC campaign of the North, starting with Arathi Highlands, recently.

Well, this Wednesday evening I would like to invite your guild along to a pre-planned RP-PvP event there.

As well as my lot (The Disciples of Light), I have invited along Maelmoor's Holy Lightbringers, Aegnian's Bloodwind, Burgen/Jancole's Dwarves and Fortesgue's Shining Strand.

I will be sending this message to a few other Horde RP-PvP guilds, namely Second Gurubashi Empire, Old Lordaeron and Horde Watch.

What I am looking to have is a good, fun RP-PvP battle across the open fields of Arathi Highlands. A few set charges between our forces, some runing battles across the fields, etc, all between some well respected RP guilds.

I am hoping to make OOC contact with some of the officers from Horde side, perhaps over MSN, before the battle, to exhange numbers of how many people we have, so then if need be the other side can have some time to even things up number wise (I want to try and make it as fair fight as possible!)

Time and date:
Wednesday 13th February (We are gathering at Refuge Pointe at 20:30 server time)

Please respond here and let me know what you think.

*The following document has been sent to many Alliance commanders and certain figureheads. However, one copy failed to reach it's desired  reecipient following the messenger being ambushed by a small Orc patrol force...*

Day 6

As the sun rises here in the Highlands it is obvious that this war will not be won in a week. It will not be won in two, or even three. No, this war is one that will be fought for some time before victory can be truly gained.

I must say that I am pleased with the way our main camp at Refuge Pointe has been going. The defences are solid - more solid than I have ever seen them in recent times.

The small, pocketed attacks upon it by the Horde - that were happening two or three times a day before we arrived here last week - have, thankfully, now stopped.

The road North, from Refuge to Stromgarde Keep, is a tricky one. It it like flipping a coin most of the time - it will either be a clear path without any Horde, or it will be being patrolled by Hordish forces who put up strong resistence. The Horde have made it clear that they are in mood to abaondon this land. Like us, they will fight to the death if it means having control of Arathi.

Stromgarde Keep itself is - apart from Refuge Pointe - one of the stronger areas we hold. The Alliance forces there, backed up by our numbers, have managed to drive out most of the Syndicate scumbags that had descended upon the area and made it their home from home.

The problems back in Stormwind City have not aided the cause up here. I have had to return back to our capital more than twice in the past week, which doesn't help things. Also is the problem that many of our forces have still yet to leave for Arathi. Alas, we said all along that we would not be deserting our home. As such, returning when needed is our duty, one that I personally hold dear.

So then, back to Arathi. From what our scouts are telling us, it is safe to predict that the 'real' War will be upon us soon enough.

The Horde have been quiet in the field. They have noticibly garrisoned their defenses of Hammerfall and it appears that they are preparing for a large scale field battle to try and drive us out of Arathi before we have had a chance to truly dig in.

Do or die time shall arrive sooner, rather than later.
