Yes, I was curious! Been working a little more than usual lately on a few sites and stuck my nose into some matters of websites security by pure chance. Seen a random complaint somewhere, the guy was yelling desperately "please help me please help me!", "I reinstalled twice my forum and a link to a .cn site keeps appearing in the pages! I didn't put it there! Where does it come from".
Heh. I had to see. So I accessed his forum, to see what he means.
It was a link in an iframe, and, taking advantage of a Firefox vulnerability, it had the possibility to execute the code from the .cn site without me clicking on any .cn link...
Simply, while his forum was loading in my browser, my kaspersky antivirus started yelling "services.exe has changed!".
*...peers at kaspersky with the look of one who thinks the poor antivirus has gone loony now*

Still, in a matter of minutes, I wanted to make sure, so I ran a quick scan of critical areas.
And got: "Svchost.exe is infected: Trojan.PSW.Win32.Agent.mzh. Cannot disinfect nor delete a running process."
*searches on internet: Trojan and keylogger*
*dies*

I'll be back online when I'll be able to login somewhere, anywhere, without the whole world finding out where and how I do it... heh.
And I'm no cat.

Odds & Ends / Records of the Tribe: them Dwarves
May 31, 2009, 02:06:06 AM
The 30th day of the 5th month, Kargath.

It be well known to some of the you, to those who came to the hunt we set up in the forests of Loch Modan, what happened there. However, others may find it necessary to know as well.
We were a little party of orcs, hunting in them forests and islands. Osan, Burgorg Rockeater, Devrak and Braggha, with a few knights, of them Ebon Holders. We came there for the meat and eggs and whatnot of them beasts, though what orc will deny that some gnome or dwarf meat may also be very useful when cooking a good meal? Many gnomes, actually, a few are not so useful. Anyway, we had to shoot down a couple of thieves or something, on our way, some hiding in them forests, with wierd faces and suicidal acts. I doubt any orc took the time to gather some provisions out of them though.

However, it was only the beginning. When crossing the Stonewrought Dam, in the north of Loch Modan, an army, a full army of dwarves was stationed in front of us. Not that it mattered much for orcs, who initially thought to charge right into them, to have it: victory or death! Though admittedly it did not look like an encouraging choice. We did not, though. We were a hunting party, not an army. Instead, orcs had to witness the most dishonorable behaviors. Their commander did not step up when requested, to clarify the situation. Then, one by one, the orcs challenged them dwarves to a fair fight... Braggha challenged one, and two attacked him instead. Osan did not even finish to speak his challenge, and two again, and another hunter's pet attacked him. Many of them beasts were released on Rockeater, while he was simply yelling an encouragement to his fellow orc...

You read well, orcs. This be what happened.

We could not have it. We charged them, and took down as many as we could, and do not doubt, orcs, that we damn well could! Left them bodies laying on the stoned dam, as we went back south, on an island. We were in one piece, the orcs, but I will not start to describe the look of that piece of each of us, unless by telling you only this: it was hard to separate what was proper blood on the faces, from the bloody anger in the eyes... As there are not many things to enrage an orc as much as seeing his fellows cheated in fight by a dishonorable enemy!

It be only one more thing to tell, after the orcs called it a day, but for that, I will simply transcript the exact words and actions:

...I went back.
Up to the ram.
To their commander.

Norviskrall yells: You know no honor, dwaves! I expected more of you!
Dorik says: Is that your excuse for getting stomped?
Norviskrall says: Here I am, shoot, same as you tried on my kin! Two charge on one, after being challenged honorably, three charge on one!
Norviskrall says: You have no honor!
Dorik says: I have been given the orders to remove you from our lands, I have nay time for games.
Norviskrall says: There be no game, not today, nor next time, dwarf.
Dorik says: Duty comes before honor.
Norviskrall says: That be -your- shame, not that it is surprising. If orcs ever thought they could respect you dwarves, that be not possible anymore after today.
Dorik says: For my homeland, I shall bear that shame gladly.
Norviskrall says: Empty be the words of a cheater.

Dorik plants an Ironforge banner.
Norviskrall eyes the banner up and down.

[little untranslated chat among two of them]

Dorik says: The High Judge says the Orcs will respect us when they know the punishment for attacking Khaz Modan is death.

[a mountaineer attacked me, and I took him down in a few hits, either it was him so weak or me so angered or otherwise.]

Norviskrall yells: Attacking during talks, are you?!
Norviskrall yells: That be all you know! Prepare with your empty words then! For it is not the last you seen of us orcs!

Norviskrall yells: And make sure you attack me when I turn my back!

[a sharp sound I heard, near my ear, from behind, and while uncertain whether it was a bullet or not, still, knowing what we know, there be little doubt. Of little relevance as well, though.]

Norvis let the pen down slowly, wounded, and tired, as he was. It was then, when the thought hit him.
Report to the chieftain. He had to report this to the chieftain. But that be a hell of a report. In the very unclear situation after the last battle of the Arathi war, when them dwarves helped turn the otherwise overwhelming odds of the battle for the city of Strom, there was little action going on. The tribe had kept to itself... until now.
For there was no turning back.

Records of the Tribe: a trip on Draenor

Respect for traditions and revering our ancestors is not only a passive attitude that one takes for a minute and forgets the other. Sometimes, to prove it, it may be required to take some action. I will be inviting you all to a trip on Draenor, in the north of Draenor, as around there be the places where the Old Clan is said to have settled after a long travel. There, we will be dedicating a short ceremony to the memory of our ancestors, and offer a token of our respect.

We meet in Thunderlord Stronghold, in the 27th day of the month, at the eighth hour.

Event Planning / Hunt in far forests (30/05)
May 25, 2009, 11:12:24 AM
Orcs!

I know some of you be waiting for a good hunt, as it is time for one. This time, we be having it in the far forests of Loch Modan, known for some good prey, bears, ogres, or if you are lucky enough, a gnome or two.
Even if you not think you be a good hunter, though one doubts an orc should ever be otherwise, you can still join the hunt for the outcome we are expecting: after the hunt, a few more skilled orcs may want to help cook properly the prey and share it at a campfire with them hunters.
We be gathering on the 30th day, before the seventh sound of the horn, in Kargath.

If any of you knows well enough the area, be welcome to step up and point to the best spots, or share any other useful information. We be having no reports of very significant dwarven activity in the region lately, but best be prepared. One never knows, perhaps it be payback day for them dwarves as well!

(( WPvP event with Dwarven Rifle Squad!
As them dwarves will not be too thrilled to spot us hunt in their forests. Acting like it be their home, they are. I wonder why. *shakes head*
Anyway! Saturday, May 30th, at 18:45, gather in Kargath and we will be going from there. ))

May 21, 2009, 06:50:46 PM
Visceril, of the Sixty Thieves, had lately the initiative to organize battleground premades inviting people from RP Guilds to PvP. Even if not full team, it still might stand a better chance to be succesful than random teams. We are gathering on a custom channel, and take it from there.

If you orcs are interested, please feel free to /join dailypremade, or poke Visceril or me online.

The Campfire / A journey to the Old Clan RedBlade
May 21, 2009, 12:57:56 AM
The Path of Spirit

Young and old orcs alike must know today that we were not always a tribe living our days in Orgrimmar, not even ones chasing some humans at times. No, our history goes much further in time, before orcs coming to Kalimdor, before them coming on Azeroth even, for many generations of orcs lived in the days before the corruption.
However, after so many years of wars, with orcs lost and traditions forgotten, it is not easy to say today how the Old Clan of the RedBlades looked like, during their time on Draenor. I have been trying to uncover those things that made it a clan to be known, respected and even feared, among friends and foes alike, but the work is not easy and may still be missing things. However, I will try to write down now what I have come to understand about how orcs lived those days, how they acted and interacted with each other, what they did and how they did it. As this work belongs to you, and it should not be lost, no matter what happens.
For starters, I will focus on those orcs that had chosen to follow the Path of Spirit.
I hope it be a lesson for us all, as the past always is. A lesson in what we as a tribe really are, deep inside, and how we can go about making it true again.

Let us close our eyes and imagine we be entering their camp, the Old Clan Redblades camp, several generations ago, and let me explain to you who we be meeting:

The Seers.
One cannot be too much mistaken when seeing one. Those orcs were usually wearing long robes, caring books or strange artefacts, always mumbling something in their beards. Every once in a while, a worried parent came to one of them Seers, asking him about his child gone for a hunt, and not yet returned home. For if anyone was able to see in the past as well as predict the future, they were the ones. Perhaps they did make a ritual of sorts, or perhaps they simply told the worried parent a number of wise words. For they were the sages, able to give a good advice, as well as be the mediators, in case conflicts arose. And sometimes, when conflicts could not be stopped, them be the healers, as, well, conflicts between orcs were not exactly limited to words alone.
They were always in a search for knowledge that may give them great experiences and feed their wisdom; but also may lead them to insanity, as be the case more than once...

The Storytellers or Lorekeepers
Perhaps we should not look much around in the village of our imagination, searching for too many. They never were too many, even, at times, there only one, the Storyteller of the Clan. So rare and respected, that the title itself became their second name. The Storyteller was the one to keep the records of the clan, and to fill the nights around a campfire with ... a story, of course. A story of lost heroes of the clan, that orcs needed to hear, to fuel their will for betterment, or perhaps a story that would serve as example, inspiring some orcs to think twice before making a mistake. He is the one who will ask orcs about their hunt, their battle, their skirmish, making it, perhaps, a testimony for the times to come. Every once in a while, an orc may deserve even more, a true song for his deeds, a Lok'Vadnod, and it is usually the Storyteller that writes it down and tells it to the orc's memorial.
However, do not think these orcs are all virtues and no faults, no orc is. The Storytellers were usually told to be easily carried away by them words they be speaking, and keep at it until a story becomes a ramble or an explanation a rant. But as I said, no orc is perfect, or he would not be an orc.

The Spirit Talkers
Deeply connected with the spirits, perhaps even more than some of those we named Seers were, these orcs were the ones the tribe went to, when needing a ritual to help them in battle, to tell the omens, or to solve some problem of their own. They were asking the spirits for answers needed by orcs. They made ceremonies to honor the clan's ancestors.
But even their work, perhaps the closest to the spirits of all, had its dangers. As it is them who risked more than others to lose themselves while walking among the spirits, to be even taken over by one or more of them spirits, at times. So, if in our little imaginary journey, you see an orc, carefully watched by others all around him, respected usually, but still, at times, taken care of like a child, do not make hasty judgments. Stop and listen, you may find it all makes sense... for some other spirit paying a visit to the clan, with a purpose of its own.

... There may be more to say, but for now, you have my thanks for joining in.
Let us stop now our imaginary journey to the Old Clan for a little while. And let us remember the present. These days, the Tribe we have become, the Tribe of the Red Blades, needs his orcs to step up and walk the Path of Spirit, like them orcs did in the past. Make it alive and striving, bring it your deeds, your own ways of walking the Path.
For no orc is truly alike, and any can bring valor to the tribe in their own ways.

                                                                                          Norviskrall.

Event Planning / Practice in Arena (24/05)
May 19, 2009, 07:50:58 PM
Orcs,

After training, the time is right for practice. Practice what you have learned, or what you have improved, in a simulated match, similar to the real thing.
We be gathering on 24th day of the month, at the ninth hour, in Nagrand, at the Arena. We will need you orcs to team up, to see if orcs also prove the abilities to sustain each other in fight, teamwork and togetherness being the keywords here! We will have two teams, and we shall see which is the one with orcs that are not only good warriors, but also capable to work together to reach victory!

I will be honest with you, orcs, and admit we have warriors in the tribe that can impress greatly with their skills in a duel, but whether they are able to lead their fellows to victory, is still an open question.
Please think well before the day of the contest, and team up. Let us know what team you be in, and we be making sure you get your chance.

Additional rules will posted in due time.

For the Blood of the Tribe!

Event Planning / Path of Spirit (training 23/05)
May 19, 2009, 05:51:44 PM
To all orcs.

As most of you know by now, the tribe needs now all of you orcs ready to do their share and help in what way they can do best. However, it is not always so easy to know which way that may be. Even though orcs are said to be born with a warrior's heart, still, it is also a fact that we have always respected the ancestors that shaped our path, that we hold in high regard the traditions we inherited, and even the less familiar orc with them all can say a Lok'Vadnod for one of our heroes.

It is time to remember well them ways, in which an orc can walk the Path of Spirit.
It is time to see if you have what it takes to be one of them orcs, if only at times for some.

We meet a few days from now, on the 23th day of the month. There is no time to make it sooner, but I will be making sure that some of you will have throughout information about this training, to be able to pursue it properly, no matter what. Please try to make sure to be around after the sound of the sixth horn, at Vargukha's farm, in Durotar. For who does not know yet where that be, or by any chance may have forgotten, it is the farm you get to when taking right immediately after you exit Orgrimmar's main gate.

(( Saturday, May 23th, after 18:00
   Vargukha's farm, Durotar.

Please note that this is supposed to be a little training-like event for the orcs interested in the path of spirit or who haven't chosen yet, but surely anyone is welcome to come, and who knows, we may have a little surprise for those following the path of war. ))

The Campfire / These are the days
May 15, 2009, 11:51:48 PM
"Ornate Drinking Stein, this will be put at good use by Osan", mumbles Norvis, upon finding the big mug among his things.
"And this goes here", he continues as he puts a Barely Readable Diary together with several books. He had already sent to Torkahn some, and saved others for a meeting with him, and other orcs, as he felt he should explain a bit more before letting the orcs try their luck at deciphering them.

Making order in one's things can be so boring. He had done that since morning, and the stuff in this room was only half-sorted. And this was only the room he had in Silvermoon. The little Orgrimmar house, all the scrolls and other stuff left at Varg in Durotar, the cave in Dreadmist Peak, for Grom's sake, how long is all going to take? He had no time, he felt it so strongly. No time left.
Norvis wipes the sweat from his neck with the back of his hand, and gets back to sorting.

"Right, two Ruined Tomes... Still here, with the books. One of them orcs will have them if any good."

"Brann Bronzebeard's Lost Letter, no way I am going to get to Silithus now, this is lost, lost will remain."

"Several pieces of Explosive Decoy, should I send them by mail? A little dangerous, but the little storm child, no, I am not letting her have them, rather, Oznack may find them useful."

The sorting continues, till the sun goes down. With a lantern, that seems to make more shadows than light, Norvis gets out of the room slowly, to not disturb the carefully sorted stacks on the floor, and goes post a few letters as well.

Event Planning / Honor the Dead (20/05)
May 12, 2009, 02:16:00 PM
(( Covenant event ))

Orcs,

We, as well as all Covenant, are invited to an event of the The Sun Guard, the old Silvermoon guard that has been recently renewed and reformed. I am certain some of you orcs may have your doubts about them elves. Please remember however that after all, we are talking here about a military organization, affiliated to the Horde. They share the goals of defense of the Horde and are willing to take active part in it, therefore they would enter the Covenant after we get to know them well by means of this invitation.
Their guard was wiped during the scourge attacks on Silvermoon, and the reformed guard nowadays will honor their dead as tradition requires. Please feel free to take part, any and all of you if so you want, on the 20th day of the month, at the sound of the eighth horn.

(( Covenant entry event of The Sun Guard, a new blood elf-only RP guild on Defias.
I'd say we give them a warm welcome, as this is a nice initiative, for too long absent from the server. Well, the warm welcome in an orcish fashion may mean many things. *snickers quietly at the memory of some orcs most willing to chew them elves ears...*
Wednesday May 20th, 20:00
Location still to be clarified, but probably summons will be in place.))

Event Planning / Troubles in Orgrimmar (13/05)
May 08, 2009, 02:50:42 AM
To all Orcs.

After a less expected turn of the war, though not completely unexpected either, we have nonetheless left a city of Strom in ruins mostly, and defended Hammerfall, as well as our standing in Arathi. No dwarf or human will be a real threat there for a while now. We might use this opportunity to march down deeper into dwarven lands. But before that is seriously considered, we need to turn back our eyes to our city.
We have worrying reports from Orgrimmar. It seems the thieves do their "jobs" there unattended, and rumors of kidnappings that may have something to do with them have arrived at our ears.
It is time to go back, and protect our city, as the Warchief has entitled us to do.

We shall meet on the 13th day of the month, in the evening, in front of Grommash Hold.

(( Patrolling Orgrimmar! We need a nice good looking pack of orcs, to be the envy of some and scare of others!

Event Planning / Wednesday wind-down (06/05)
May 02, 2009, 01:29:28 AM
Throm'ka, orcs.
I hope my letter finds you well.

There is no need for me to explain the strains we have been through lately, with the war, the unpleasant surprises of the Arathorian neighborhood in Hammerfall, and not only. I think we can all welcome a night of, as it is said, "fun", to let it all go for a change and just take part in orc to orc chat and whatnot.
All your friends will be welcome, provided they behave, you know. Feel free as well to bring anything would help what you may like to do, like a leather ball or flying paper things, or whatever others, including those, well, gnomish inventions.

There will be no need to stay in Arathi for this night only, as there are no unsettling news that we know of, so the guards will be enough to take care of the base. I am certain a few warlocks will agree to help us forward to, and back from, Thunder Bluff. Yes, we meet in Thunder Bluff, by the lake, in the evening of the 6th day of the month.

(( Time for fun, I'd say! A little less traditional Wednesday wind-down, with more guests
May 6th, 20:00, Thunder Bluff, by the lake near the inn.  ))

Event Planning / Will the Hammer fall? (07/05)
May 02, 2009, 01:00:34 AM
(( OOC only, as we don't know anything IC as yet:

The Alliance forces have gathered in Menethil. As they hear about the siege the city of Strom, this Saturday night, they will march from there, eventually breaking the siege and, Thursday 7th, they'll head for Hammerfall in retaliation. They will find however, a united army of the Horde, with Ebon Hold, 2GE, the Sixties, Mistrunners, Frostblood, GoS and others, to defend the base and lay waste in that gathering of all Alliance races!

In other words! The war campaign will properly restart with this new RP WPvP event that is being planned, after a little break. Alliance will have their gathering of guilds too, but hopefully, our lots and lots and a little more will be ready. Be there, orcs, we can prove the Hammer will not fall this time!

Event Planning / Siege of Strom (02/05)
April 30, 2009, 01:03:22 AM
Orcs,

As those who were last night around in Hammerfall know, Gnash is finally free from those humans that kept him in Strom Garde. So is, by the looks of it, that elf called Captain by the thieves. But this does only give us the chance to know a little more about their defenses, about the numbers garrisoned there and some ideas about the plans they may have.

With this knowledge, we will make our way right there, in the heart of the human city, and burn it to the ground! We have asked the trolls, and, you know, those knights, to come as well. We will see what they will be able to come with. We will meet on the second day of the next month, at the eighth hour.

(( Siege of Strom Garde, Saturday May 2nd, 20:00
This was actually thought as pure RP event, not WPvP, but don't bet we won't have a little opposition there, knowing our "friends", the Arathorians ;) ))

Event Planning / Tribe meeting (29/04)
April 25, 2009, 07:18:31 PM
To all orcs!

It is too long since we did not have a proper meeting, for you orcs to be informed as you should be of what is going on in the tribe, and of course to express your opinions. Things keep happening though, and such a meeting is deemed necessary. Moreover, I may have a few things to announce myself.
Therefore, please join me in Hammerfall, as we still be garrisoned there for the few days to come, on the 29th day of the month, at the eighth hour.

(( Tribe meeting! There will be a few things to be announced indeed, as well as news of the IC developments lately and eventually the plans for restarting the WPvP campaign will be laid out. ))

The Campfire / Feats of Faith
April 24, 2009, 08:38:26 PM
Norvis sprinkled some infinite dust over the bowl in front of him. A powerful smell of peacebloom and stranglekelp, combined with some incense as well, raises from the bowl and engulfs him.
He usually didn't need anymore to make a ritual for the big grey wolf to appear to him, he felt the connection so strongly that it was like the wolf was around the corner anytime. But this time he feared the wolf might be upset, or something, since the last meeting with him and the orcs. The orcs had a fight among themselves, around Nazkhur's attempt to kill him, but also it seemed that a few issues they may have had with each other had surfaced with that occasion. Whatever it was, Norvis didn't know for sure, as he was in some kind of trance most of the time. All he knew was that orcs stood up for him, but he also felt the wolf's sadness, it was overwhelming, more powerful than ever.

"But it is not my sadness you called me for, is it?" the wolf's words entered his mind, though no sound really came from the big, grey wolf that appeared on the other side of the bowl.
Norvis nodded slowly. It wasn't. He called him because of his own doubts, as he needed something. An idea. An advice.
"Well... I do not know how to explain. I mean, you know, it is the orcs."
The wolf's big, grey and ghostly body was simply staying and waiting, not moving, like the image of the patience itself. Not that it wasn't needed...
"Well, they keep coming to me for advice, I mean, to know what to do. That is, those that do not want the Path of the Warrior."
Norvis made a little pause.
"Please let me explain.
There were orcs, along the way... I mean, Torkahn offered his help on history of the tribe, and you, that is, he always has an advice from his experience, and I asked him when I needed one, with the trolls, he knows them well, and then with Tamaska. But other orcs should know they can ask him, you see. Otherwise, how can they? Then, Vlargrom, I mean, he wished to follow the Path of Spirit. And, yes, I know Vargukha considered necessary certain things. Things, to help him face his own fears, perhaps. Perhaps he needed that, indeed, and other things, but then again, he may have succeeded. Though I am not certain how I am supposed to know if he really did, so that he can be allowed to try helping the same way other orcs himself... Then, well, there are others..."

Norvis didn't say it, but he knew the wolf felt his thoughts, his not too clear thoughts about Mazguul. It was not her hands. But there was something about her, that didn't seem to be related only to her nightmares, other connections with spirits that he could feel, though somewhat it was all messy.
"Perhaps if her life would have been different, she would have been a spirit walker."
Or perhaps that was a little too much to say?
"So you think that these orcs, or others, need to prove to others their real worth in the tribe. To undergo a trial, for their role to be acknowledged. Even though this role of theirs has nothing to do with arms."
"Yes."
"Then why don't you let them do so?"
Norvis blinks confusedly at the wolf, but the big, grey eyes, with all their sadness, spread calm around. The wolf was speaking seriously.
"But you, you do not understand! How- HOW am I supposed to do that? I do not know how, that is exactly what I am asking..."
"By allowing them to take the Feat of Faith, of course, if, and when, they'd be ready for it."

The Feat of Faith. Norvis stared at the wolf, with incredulity. Perhaps he still didn't understand him correctly, what does one have to do with the other? The Feat of Faith was a ritual he read about in a few of the old tribe's writings. Though the descriptions were very incomplete, it seemed the ritual was meant to test the strenght of an orc faith, by asking him to undergo a trial that could kill him, unless he is strong enough in his faith in the spirits.

"Yes. The ritual was actually one of the rites of passage, in the old days. The orc was asked to prepare, then to do something, like walk barefoot on fire, or on burning coal. If an orc is born for the Path of Spirit, he can do so as a storyteller, as a healer, as a lorekeeper or spirit walker, or whatnot, whatever suits best the orc. But think of it. What do they really have in common? Their strong, indestructible faith, in the unseen face of the world. It is what distinguishes them from the warriors as well. As both can fight, if necessary, and both know the spirits are there. But to walk on fire or jump from a cliff, with your life solely in spirits' hands, rather then your muscles, is not something anyone can do."
"It is this trial that could open properly their Path..."
The wolf nodded in silence, while his ghostly body was wearing thin, his grey, sad eyes disappearing slowly as in a mist, that was clearing, until nothing was there anymore.

Norvis wanted to call him back, they had other things to talk about as well, that sadness, and all that happened lately... but he thought that it may be enough for the day, he had to work on this revelation anyway, of course the Feat of Faith was the way, for orcs following the Path of Spirit to be, if successful, acknowledged among their kin.

Odds & Ends / Records of the Tribe, Hammerfall.
April 23, 2009, 02:57:14 AM
Norvis stands up, at the little table in Hammerfall inn where he was writing, with a new decision in his eyes. It was late at night and the orc was tired. He grabs the little blue booklet he had been writing in, and checks the pages, taking off a couple of them. He then goes down, and gives them to the big Tauren innkeeper, to have them handed over to each orc for reading. Or, for him to read to them, as case may be.

(( This thread will let every orc know of the current developments in Arathi. I will start soon enough. We have already a number of things happening, making the IC context interesting, but we should also keep them in mind to help every orc choose his side, or series of events, as you happen to be interested in! ))

We are in Hammerfall for a while now, and we saw more than one new blood taking care of his duties in this war to the best of his abilities. That is very encouraging of course, and I would be the last to deny it. However, we all know how difficult it must be for any orc to properly find his place into the Tribe, and that of course applies to any of us. I am certain many orcs still have questions, or simply can benefit from a story or two, as it stands.
You be all invited then on the 25th day of the month, in Hammerfall, on the northern side of the inn, for a campfire and an open discussion. Be it new blood or not, any orc is welcome. We may make sure that given the proper time, a few orcs may have a surprise as well.

    Hammerfall, Arathi.
We might have a lot of surprises in fact, at the time of the event as well as these days until then, as the IC plots keep evolving at a quick rate by the looks of it! But we also need orcs be prepared for them *winks* ))

Event Planning / Patrol in Wetlands (18/04)
April 16, 2009, 02:05:42 AM
There are many things that we can and should do, now that we are gathering in Arathi Highlands. We, as orcs, will of course make sure that the Hammerfall base is well defended, in any way we can. We might also, I hope, take advantage of our presence in the area to pay a few little visits to the not so smart humans, too stubborn, as we know, to see the foolishness of their presence in our lands. There is no need for written calls for that, we shall deal with each as it comes.
However, there is one more thing, that I need your attention for: even though we postponed today a proper war planning with the troll, we do know well that, sooner or later, we shall need to direct our look to the south. As it is there we have no bases, and humans and dwarves alike may gather forces we know nothing about.
Therefore, we will go to check the area. There will be no need to venture a lot, but we should cover the Wetlands frontier at least. Let us do so on the 18th day, at the eighth drumbeat.

Norvis puts the pen down, after writing in a big hurry, and, taking the scroll, he starts making a few steps towards the Hammerfall inn. It was to the southern wall of it that he intended to hook the scroll up for orcs to see, like the rest of the announcements to the tribe. He stops though, hesitating, almost making a step back. He simply reads the scroll instead, displeased, and moans something. He then takes a look around his shoulder, where a big grey wolf, with grey, sad eyes, was watching him in silence.
"Yes, yes. I am coming. But I was wondering... "
Norvis drags his other hand over his neck, apparently involuntarily, and his fingers press the well visible scar on it.
"We will discuss properly with the troll the plans for the next battle, yes. But still. I barely came back in time for the last attack. How can I tell what can happen next? And, you know, one cannot trust trolls. I mean, we need orcs that can take charge if need be, we cannot be lead by trolls, that is certain."
Norvis goes back, takes the pen and adds quickly a few more rows.

...And, well. I have also a question of my own regarding this patrol. I would like to know in advance if any of you would like to think up the details of the road to follow and be ready to show us the way. You have my thanks for considering my request.

The big, grey eyes of the wolf watch in silence.

Event Planning / Tournament of the Blades (22/04)
April 16, 2009, 12:44:41 AM
To all orcs!

It has been quite a while since we did cross blades in a traditional challenge of our own: the Tournament of the Blades. I know some of you are waiting for the opportunity to do so again, and here is your chance: on the 22th day of the month, when the eight horn will be heard in Hammerfall, all orcs are invited to stand ready to fight for the title. As today, the former owner of the Blademaster title is missing, perhaps forever, it will be to any of you orcs to try and be the one who claims it against all who want the same.

In case some of you are certain they do not want to be competitors, we might find something for them to do as well, besides watching the challenge.

Be sure to come, those who want to prove your worth in a real Orcish fight, one with strict rules, and earn your name of honor among us!
